Default why doesn't gasket fit L-tuned exhaust?

To be on the safe side, I bought new gaskets from Lexus dealer for my GS3. Looked at the L-tuned exhausts and found that new gasket seems too big for L-tuned pipe (i.e. where it's recessed in).

Anyone else found that? I just have find a gasket that fits. So the L-tuned pipe up to the flange is smaller than stock pipe?

I dont even think my stock exhaust came with a gasket like that. The pipe just flushes into the other pipe.

Gasket doesn't go on the l-tuned exhaust.. goes on the pipe that the exhaust bolts too. take a look when you pull off the oem cans. i used a screw driver to pry off the old gaskets and the new ones fit on snug.. then bolted the l-tuned exhausts on.. perfect fit, except my left exhaust hangs a tad lower. need to adjust bolts today to fix. my guess is that the stock left muffler is heavier or bigger because I think the problem lies with the rubber hangers. i noticed the left ones came off easier, ie, were more stretched.

Looking at your photo it does look like the dealer maybe sold you the wrong gaskets? I followed a link from a previous post on cl and got mine from a dealer shipped for $15 for both.

check 3rd post from bottom of page on this link..

link for buying gaskets.. fit my gs400 perfect for l-tuned exhaust upgrade
