Nice
Hey Jeff,
I like how the wastegate (Deltagate II?) bleeds boost into the atmosphere. I have some general questions to ask:
1) Does the kit come with a head gasket... 8.5:1?
2) What kind of turbo is the stage 1 and stage 2 kit running? I see the Garrett logo on the compressor housing... T04E?
3) Can the transmission handle the kit? Don't get me wrong but a single turbo of that size should push 400rwhp no problem... is 3200stall convertor recommended on that turbo.
4) Does the kit use a new fuel rail with larger injectors? What size are the new injectors?
5) How's the fuel return layout? Return line? New pump and if so what kind?
Thanks in advance.

this is a brand new turboed is300....the owner took delivery yesterday......
the car dynoed at 340rwhp@11psi on pump gas....this is a stge 1.5
the car has a haltech...To4e turbo...bigger injectors<i think 550cc but im not posotive>fuel returns to the tank ..and a head gasket to lower compression..and all the normal goodies a toyomoto kit comes with..MSD DIS4 blow off valve....the customer can get what ever color pipes they want...ect ect.....lance has stayed with the factory converter
cost of this kit was 10,500 installed...and the owner is grinning from ear to ear....

thanks for input
Jeff,
Thanks for your input. From your answers the Toyomoto kit is fundamentally a good kit to convert the N/A to a turbo car. For $8000 it's not a bad deal... just have a competant mechanic/engineer do the install though. Just think about it: you get a custom manifold, a T4 turbo, additional lines, larger injectors, I hope the Supra TT fuel pump, a Haltech, intercooler and piping. If it were me I get an efficient B&M 24,000 GVW tranny cooler (Jeff's car is manual folks), a GReddy 16-row oil cooler, turbo-timer, a boost controller (I know you can boost to 18lbs on a T04E and 550cc injectors), and essential gauges (boost gauge, EGT, oil pressure, engine temp). Now if there is a warranty on the kit...
