Default PI Tourque Converter in 2JZ-GTE

Well I don't have much time and haven't driven the car much. I started the install about 4:00 yesterday and finished around 8:30. The install wasn't that bad just your basic auto pull and re-install. I did also change out the transmision with a lower milage unit I bought a while ago.

After making the mistake of listening to the dealer and starting with 10 qts of ATF which overfilled the trany, I drained some and it drove great. The car is just as drivable as it was with the stock converter. It spools much faster, but is still a little slugish out of the hole if I don't spool it up.

I drove it to work this morning in trafic and had no problems with it. The car feels faster. I don't know if it was because my old trany was slipping or the torque converter, but the car feels great.

The stall on the converter is 3400 FYI.

I will be at the track next friday and see if I can get a good 60'

do you mean single plate vs double plate? i think that's what people say?

regardless, if that's the case, it's not a choice, it's application. the single pl is for gs400, and the double plate is for gs300. as far as i know there are only one type for gs400/430 and one type for gs300

Thats great news man...When you say sluggish out the hole, do you mean in everyday driving like stop and go where you wait for it to get up 3400 before it really pulls? Or do you have to kind of mash the pedal for it not to feel sluggish? Any rev limiter issues? Would the potential of you hitting the rev limiter be diffrent from the vvt-i trans to the non vvt-i trans?
