Default 2000 GS400: What other short/long block are the same (SC400, etc?)?

Blew a hole in my shortblock. I was wondering what other engines contain the same shortblock? I would like to buy a whole longblock to save hassles.

Is the SC400 the same engine? Would a GS430 longblock work? Anyone know anything?

Hi man, I didnt realize that the block needed replacement and that the motor is a 2000 in the clubna-t.com posts. The early 1uz will not work in your case since you have VVt-I and the early motors have no provisions for it. You'll need a direct replacement from Lexus.

However, you can use this as the perfect excuse to build and go FI with the GS.
