why not just heat wrap the srt pipe? Wouldnt this help with the heatsoaking??
I have considered either purchasing the srt intake or a k&n unit as well. The srt is good bang for the buck considering you get +35hp..+40lb/tq for $450 compared to buying a k&n+safcI+tuning which will run you a lot more, but can also get you higher gains.
I plan on purchasing a srt intake and then I will most likely heat wrap the pipe and then if anything I will apply weather stripping around the whole heat shield.
Laugh all you want at this, but back when I was like 17 or 18 I did testing on my moms 99 dodge caravan. Completely stock the van would max out at 100mph, but after me and my brother threw on a k&n cone filter on it, I would be able to hit 110. Hot air or not, it was getting more air and I gained 10mph on top end.
