I dont think any exhaust has ever given a car a 25whp gain on a stock NA motor. This exhaust has finaly been released and is in stock at the parts warehouses.

you mean the HKS one? cause apparently, all the san diego lexus dealers are clueless about it. my best bet is the parts manager at Bob Baker in El Cajon but hes gone till Monday. maybe its out only on the east coast?

PN PT916-53060 Dual Sport Exhaust. It was in transit early this week. I checked this morning and it has arived and is in stock at the warehouses. This is the one that has had the "TBD" as the release date since the 06 IS came out. It was just released this week.

haha well those stubborn parts service people finally listened to me after i gave them the part number and suprisingly it was in stock! well anyway, its $1470 for just the exhaust and estimated at $150-200 for labor... seems kinda pricey... not sure about power gains, style...

HKS through dealer is available. Even if your dealer tells you otherwise, give them the part number (PT916-53060) and they will see that it is available to order from the warehouse. It is $1470 retail w/o installation.

As for the aftermarket one, I called HKS today, not sure if their operators fully know what they're talking about. (The guy had no idea what I was talking abou when I asked about the Lexus OEM upgrade through HKS like specs, etc. and referred me to call Lexus about my questions) But anyway, he said the aftermarket one is still in production, but probably will be here before the end of the year.

On a side note, people don't seem to think there is much difference between the two power-wise, but what about price? I can understand the price tag being high because it is through the dealer, but how much can we expect the price tag to be for the aftermarket version? HKS won't give me any more info.

Thanks for making the 1st buy jsquared.

I'd love to see photos and eventually a dyno - I want to get an exhaust soon but I am looking to max out the whp gain also.

Ok, so we just got an '07 IS250 yesterday and on the sticker (not dealer add-on) was the "Sport Exhaust" entry under the option list. It has a nice sound to it and looks really good. Is this the HKS exhaust being talked about?

Are you sure it didn't say "Sport Tuned Exhaust"? If so, that is probably the standard part.

Nope nope... "Dual Sport Exhaust" and its not the standard one. $1500 option on the original sticker itself. Of course, its not worth that much, nor did we pay for it, but I guess this is that HKS-Toyota co-op feature, as it looks just like the one in the brochure pic for accessories.

Basically it is a private label product by HKS that meets or exceeds all of Toyota's requirements and tests. The Dual Sport Exhaust is actually labeled as a genuine Toyota Product, not just a Genuine Toyota Accessory
