Post Factory or Dealer installed dual sport exhaust by HKS?

I was browsing the 2007 online brochure at the Lexus website today and noticed under the list of Individual Options & Accesories the following item listed: Dual sport exhaust by HKS (Available Fall 2006)

Does anyone know anything about this option?

Thank you!!

Canned.

It was planned but was not approved for the States. It will not be available in the U.S. It needs to be modified to pass current environmental laws and orders.

Sorry for the bad news...

This option was supposedly dropped long before the '07 brochure was released. I'm REALLY surprised that it is in there...

It is supposedly still coming out.. at least from my sources over at HKS... this one WILL be released this Fall sometime. And then HKS will have another version of the exhaust as well.

it'll cost you loads of money to bring it from japan.. shipping... and tax... and it might require installation... *not a simple bolt on* cost of installation...
too expensive imo. go with tanabe.. everyone seems to be loving it

Tanabe= no power. Pretty much just a muffler swap.

fixed.

however, you can still use the Tanabe and add a custom mid section yourself, probably for less than importing a JDM HKS set-up.

Here's where I found the information: http://www.lexus.com/assets/models/e...IS_Page_14.pdf at the bottom of the page.

Does anyone know if this would be a factory installed option?

all they did probably was change the 2006 to 2007 in the PDF and added the changes

they also messed up on the X package RWD only when they say 255 width tires come on the front

^^ I disagree that they just changed it from 2006 to 2007 in the PDF.

This may be a good sign....

The very first Option & Accessory 2006 Catalogues showed us:
"Dual Sport Exhaust by HKS" (Available 1st Quarter 2006)

The New 2007 Catalogue NOW shows:

Dual Sport Exhaust by HKS (Available Fall 2006)

It may very well still be in the works... I guess we will have to wait and see...

But many months ago we did all learn that the project was scratched / cancelled / or put on hold...

I'll still take my chances with HKS. Either that or JIC or Trust (and no Greddy... I hate that name).

If no real HP gain, I'll just keep the dinky stock ones, no point spending money just for the sound.
