The exhaust sounds the same, but a little more "bass" to it. It sounds just perfect for this car!!!
Do you think you could upload a soundclip of the sound? I think all the other clips online are of the exhaust right after installation. It would be much appreciated

In order to record the sound properly, I would need a fancy microphone that captures low frequencies. I don't have anything along those lines... sorry

El Paso, TX. This is not a mod-friendly city so you have to buy things from other places because they don't sell good quality aftermarket parts here.

im gona bump this.. so you say the exhaust is pretty short?

do you think it'll burn the lip of a bodykit if you had a rear add-on?

No, I don't think so because there's a gap between the exhaust tip and the kit (at least the OEM one). This gap does not allow the warm exhaust tips to touch the rear valance or even create the well-known "black burns" caused by other exhausts in other cars.

So now that some of you have had the exhaust "broken in," has the sound levels increased? I wanted the G35/350Z hum...

The exhaust sounds a bit louder, but it is still not as loud as the HKS exhaust. It sounds good though, but not like a G35 sound. It seems like the HKS exhaust has a similar sound to the G35 exhaust, so that might be your best bet.

If I'm not mistaken, the HP gains should be 7HP to the wheels.

Default Tanabe Medallion Exhaust

Just installed the Tanabe exhaust this weekend. Less than 30 minute, do it yourself installed. 2 wrenches and a screwdriver. Very high quality, perfect fit product that attaches directly to factory hangers and perfectly centered. Plenty of clearance all of the way around and sticks out beyound the beyond the lower part of the bumper by about 1.5 inches. A perfect fit. I really like the double walled polished inside and out. You cannot see the pipe inside the outlet like you do some other systems and you won't have carbon or oil build up inside the outlet as long as you clean it when you clean the car.

Performance wise I felt a little extra torque ( seat of the pants) at low end and definately up in the powerband, but I also changed out the intake filter with a K&N drop in filter at the same time so I opened up the intake and exhaust somewhat.

Deep quality sound in the cabin and a very nice performance sound outside. This is the perfect sound for a performance luxury car. I recently had a G35 couupe with Stillen exhaust and this is a quieter deeper tone. A tone you wont get tired of.

I am very pleased/ 4 day deliver, no delivery fee and about $650 for the exhaust and K&N total. I thing a great Mod and I highly recommend it.
