Great exhaust! I wish they produced a true dual cat-back.

The OP mentioned that the interior noise "only" went from 89 to 93 db. Just wanted to mention that sound increases exponentially, so the difference between 89 and 93 is more than the difference between 0 and 4 db, for example. Just FYI.

Plenty of clearance all of the way around and sticks out beyound the beyond the lower part of the bumper by about 1.5 inches. A perfect fit. I really like the double walled polished inside and out. You cannot see the pipe inside the outlet like you do some other systems and you won't have carbon or oil build up inside the outlet as long as you clean it when you clean the car.

Performance wise I felt a little extra torque ( seat of the pants) at low end and definately up in the powerband, but I also changed out the intake filter with a K&N drop in filter at the same time so I opened up the intake and exhaust somewhat.

Deep quality sound in the cabin and a very nice performance sound outside. This is the perfect sound for a performance luxury car. I recently had a G35 couupe with Stillen exhaust and this is a quieter deeper tone. A tone you wont get tired of.

I am very pleased/ 4 day deliver, no delivery fee and about $650 for the exhaust and K&N total. I thing a great Mod and I highly recommend it.

Can a novice install this exhaust system?

^^^Just use some dishwashing soap or wd-40 (takes about 10 seconds of hard tugging to get off....seriously).

Absoluetly. 2 Bolts and then rubber loop hangers. perfect fit on.

the new unit is lighter than original. 2 pieces and about 46 lbs. some soapy water or wd40 will make the rubber hangers easy to slip off and on. I paid a muffler shop to do it and I was embarased as it was so easy. literaly just a few minutes to take off the old and put on the new.

I did do a search and found that someone claimed 7hp, did not post up torque gains, and a dyno graph was not posted so it is not official.

I have no way to mount up the car up + i'm a complete noob. Is there a cheap alternative, or more suggestions/tips? It seems really easy from what you said, but yeah, wondering how i can jack up the car myself ^^;;

Thanks, Alex.

Has anyone reviewed the HKS exhaust?

EDIT: Come to think of it... I think that might be a stupid question because I don't *think* that exhaust has been released to the masses yet...

You dont need to jack it up. Find a curb in a parking lot where you can back up to an edge and have the rear of the car a bit higher above the ground. That will give you the space to get under and do the work. You dont need to lift the wheels off the ground, just get about 6 to 8 inches more clearance to get under to disconnect the two bolts and pull off the rubber loops. Disconnect the bolts first then release the loops and have some help to lower the old system as it is one piece. The new system is two piece and lighter so you may not need help. 46 lbs total
