TXIS, would the tire jack be able to give you enough height to do it?

my car is lowered so i did jack up the car with a simple spare tire jack. ... make sure you chock the tires and have the parking brake set.. can be done... if not...50 bucks at a reputable lexus independent shop i know in the OC will get it done...

Tire jack would be fine. I always worry about the possiblility of rolling. That is why i like to get it out over a curb or drive up on something solid to elevate the rear. Tire jack is fine just be careful. You are just trying to get it high enough to get you some working room. Chock the tires. Emergency brake does not secure it and since it is rear wheel drive, when you lift the rear, being in park does not secure it either.

The cheapest i've seen on the internet is $587 with free shipping from http://www.jazzproparts.com/ProductD...ctCode=T70113A .

Does anyone have any experience with them? Has anyone found the tanabe for cheaper?
