The Lexus Cat-Back performance dual exhaust has a mirror-like finish and is made from polished 304 stainless steel with enlarged sport tips and aggressive tuning are sure to add that final touch to your IS.

So what does aggressive tuning mean? Sure hope to see some dyno testing on this exhaust. I'm anxious to see some pics of it installed and some video clips as well.

you can get close if you remove the cats

Removing the cat, well that just defeats the useage for this car as a daily driver. Not only is it illegal, but also loud as *****. It "might" reach high 20 HPs.. sure with more adjustments. But people on this forum have said just having their regular Tanabe or LMS exhausts have increased it to 20-25+ range.

well i think the LMS does remove the cats... but how much can we expect with an intake + exhaust? is 15hp gain a reasonable amount to expect for just bolt ons?

i guess it would be pretty hard, if not impossible to get our cars to 300whp w/o any kind of FI...

I'm usually not that optimisstic about claims of 20+ HP on an Exhaust without some Dynos. It was the same with my previous cars... G35 and Rx-8. Both claimed to increase it, but as months pass.. more owners did their own dynos and realized that it wasn't the truth.

I'm ok that the exhaust would give about 5-10 range.. maybe... but to say it gives it 25+ right out of the box, I doubt it.

Some FI wouldn't hurt though... hope someone comes up with that as an option.

~$1500 seems to be about the going price for most 2IS exhaust systems. Waiting for one that costs half that much is probably wishfull thinking.

Also I'll be waiting for the non-dealer HKS exhaust and see if there is much of a difference. Price should be relatively the same, not 1/2 price like another member stated.
Thats strange its on the greddy website http://greddy.com/products/display/?...&SubCategory=1

i called greddy. it's a 'catback' or resonator-back or whatever you wanna call it. i asked about performance, the guy said its more for looks/sound and probably should expect ~5hp gains.

Its actually cool to hear a realistic claim from a manufacturer.

Disappointing that its resonator back, so far LMS is the only full exhaust? Or is HKS a full one also?

It's a fantasy to expect true gains from a resonator back system. The bottle neck is everthing before the resonator. Sound improvement yes, power increase, keep dreaming.
