What exactly are the advantages of a "true dual" setup?

Does anyone know? Is it just less restrictive?

Sometimes they are less restrictive, and sometimes they aren't. They are usually heavier, so there are tradeoffs even if they are less restrictive.

I'm waiting for the HKS Pro which should be out just after X-Mas. I guess it's going to be much more aggressive than the Lexus HKS version.

It is not going to be the same exact one. It's a different, more aggressive design and will have the HKS logos on the tip.

I posted the information based on what Status Auto Design shop told me. They are official HKS dealer.

It sounds like you know for a fact that the design is going to be different. Could you please post something to confirm it.

The answer would be "a"

The HKS system will be a dual hi-power design, similar to the offering for the S2000 and 350z (minus the ti tip and resonant tubes).

Hope that helps

That's disappointing. The S2000 community wasn't impressed with it at all due to its weight.

Well, I was more referring to the muffler design, dual hi-power muffler assemblies. The weight on the system is typically lighter than stock. For the S2000 community, it had mixed reviews in the beginning but in the end most were pretty happy with them and a good number of systems were sold. Also to factor in was that many were comparing them to single sided systems or full ti systems...which is comparing apples and oranges. And to be honest, Im pretty sure IS owners wont be looking for an single path outlet exhaust...or at least I wouldnt.

I agree that the needs for an S2000 were entirely different. The stock exhaust was nearly impossible to beat for power, so weight and sound was the only incentive for replacement. If I'm remembering correctly, the HKS did sound really nice on the S2000 even though it was heavy and made no extra power.
