I've driven the TL as well - nice ride. One big difference occurs when you step on it to pass another car or go up a steep hill. The 430 will drop to 4th and the TL will go all the way to 3rd as a result of the different gear ratios and power provided by the V8 vs. 6 respectively. Due to the TL gearing, 4th does not have a great deal of power on the highway, but rather in the city when the RPMs are more usable.
