Question 12 secs.?

I'm thinking of buying a '93 Gs300. I was wondering: what kind of mods would i have to pull to get this car into the low-to-mid 12 second range? Also, how much would all this cost? The cheaper the better. Any comments appreciated, and thanks.....

low 12s, you'll definitely need some kind of forced induction. Luckily, for 93~97 GS300s the bolt-on turbo kit is relatively easy to get and install. You can Private Message "JZS147" for more info. I think his turboed GS300 can do 11s.

Check out suprastore.com. They have a kit for that GS.

I wish separating the head from the block to change head gasket and reassembling/torquing down the head to the block were as easy. To get such a heavy car to dip into the 11's the car would have to suck enough air and burn enough fuel to lay down 450hp to the ground, have a two-way LSD (3.76 gearing), decent wide rear tires (at least 265 wide) and finally a 3200RPM stall torque converter. You'll be on your way to 11's.

Maybe I should say "easy to get" and not "easy to install"

I mean easy because there isn't the problem with the VVTi and ECUs like the 98+ 160 series. Still alot of work, but at least no thinking-your-butt-off-for-getting-ECU-to-work thing.

toyomoto can build you a kit for what ever hp you want...with 440 rwhp i went 11.90s @115....the f-max kit isnt gonna make that kind of power and is very poor quality.....the gs300 up to 95 are easy to work with due to OBD1 computers.....call toyomoto 305-599-3050..Jeff
