Interesting,
I just saw a video clip of cutouts on an IS, so I decided to check the forums and see what other CL members thought. For all of you guys that don’t understand how cutouts work, here is a great illustration (http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/)
And for all of you that would like to watch the vid, here you go http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/Media/LexusQTEC.wmv
Hope this was helpful
What would you guys think of cutouts on a GS4??

Thats pretty cool. Nice burn out too. Just curious though, would this benefit the most before or after the second set of cats. I'm guessing before the second set. So when the valve is open, basically the exhaust flows out both the cutout and the muffler?

go toDMH performance and buy one...I think you need a 2.5". an exahust shop will weldthe y pipe in and you can wire it. Takes like 20 min to wire it and install the switch.
Do it and post a video please!

RESURRECTED!!!
I have a friend with the Summit electric cutout on his suburban and it's definitely impressive. I doubt he gets much performance gain from it since his engine is stock, but I was considering a different approach.
How well would a cutout work for a turbocharged 2JZ? When I go FI, I want an exhaust that's quiet around town so I can maintain an air of class when need be, but I don't want to choke my turbo when I need to giddy up. If I welded a cutout at the end of my downpipe, I could keep my stock exhaust and only open it up when I needed the power.
What do you guys think?
EDIT -- I just watched JeffTsai's video of his cutout and it sounds awesome. Got any more videos for us Jeff?
