Default Ignition Help (pictures of spark plugs)

I'm in the process of swapping in a jspec 2jz-gte VVTI in my 2nd Gen GS300. Having some problems getting my engine to run.

These are the spark plugs after some attempt to get it running.

Looks like cylinder 1 & 6 isnt firing correctly. Can smell raw gas on 1&6 only.

Spark tester was installed on spark #1 and looks like spark is cutting out causing motor to shut down.

Coils were swapped and same symptoms would occur no matter what coil is on the location over plug 6

What should we check?
Here is a picture of my plugs from 1-6

Here is a list of what we tested

-Coils were tested with a multimeter
-Coils were swapped to a different location (still have the same problem no matter what coil is over cylinder 6)
-Multimeter to check the coil pins to the ignitor.. they are fine
-Swapped out ignitor and still doing the same thing.

Next step will be looking through the ECU wires again.

Would gladly take any suggestions

Did you check the gap on the spark plugs? I also would invest in a HKS DLI. Your car will run a hell of a lot better with it. It increases your spark a lot. My car will idle at an a/f of 9.0 with that thing. Also, maybe your injectors are staying open for some reason and dumping fuel. Check the wiring and the injectors. Good luck.

By looking at the pics, your not getting any combustion in those chambers.

HKS DLI would be nice but i dont want to spend over $350 on that thing without knowing what's wrong with 1 & 6. i dont think it's weak spark, it's just that the spark is cutting out on whatever coil i put over cylinder #6.

Cylinder one and 6 only fires up to start the motor.. then stops firing.

Gonna try to test the wires from the ECU side to the ignitor next. And check the condition of the pin that connects to the coil over cylinder 6.

Very happy to hear that.. Yes that is really rich. I have to reinstall the two pumps in the tank cause my fuel pressure is doing weird stuff.

thanks guys. Car is at the muffler shop at the moment modifying the 3" downpipe and a 3" cat as I had requested. Then they will be test driving and making sure no leaks and that everything is working.

Should be ready for me to pick up tomorrow!
