Default Why are so many Tanabe exhausts for sale? (in classifieds forum)

what are you guys replacing it with?

As far as I know, only Tanabe and GReddy make exhausts that are out right now.

there are a few out... lms, hks, and a bunch from japan. i think tom's, fujitsubo, etc. can't name them all. dunno what everyone's replacing it with, maybe they just need the money?

I thought tanabe exhausts were catback, are they axle back?

unfortunately, they are axle back as are most of the ones out in the US.

Dunno about the ones being sold on CL but I have the Tanabe Medalion Touring and it is cat back for sure.

the tanabe is clearly an axle-back. a catback for $600? haha... where are you getting the info that the tanabe is a catback?

the correct term for the tanabe is resonator back, not cat back or axle back

if you look under its not behind the axle

ok i guess it's resonator back, it's just that axleback was the most commonly used term. anyway, the point is that it isn't a catback.

IS cant have a catback since there are no flanges after the cats, unless you like to cut and weld
