on mine, i used some of the aeroquip push lock hose to go onto the factory fuel line. the return line is pretty low pressure, so there really isnt a need to use crazy high pressure line for that application.

Hmm all this is very helpful seeing as it looks like I may be reworking my fuel system.

How are you coming through the top of the fuel pump assembly are you using a bulkhead fitting with a barb, then piece of rubber hose from the pump to the barb? (talking about the pressure side of course) If you happen to have a photo it would be nice.

unfortunately i didnt take any pics before i put it all together, at least that i recall. i went with dual -6 lines on mine, with the factory feed as my return. so yes, i have dual -6 right angle bulkheads, that have hose barbs on the inside of the tank, then going to a piece of fuel line to the pump. i will see if i can dig up a pic, but i doubt i will have much luck. burgundys looks a ton better in tank than mine i would have to say though.

dont worry about the pics I found some on dot net. that showed me what I needed. Did you have to drill the fuel rail to accept the fuel line fitting?

What size are the holes on the rail? 3/8 ?

is it npt or is it metric?

The end of my rails were metric. So I am wondering if the supply fittings are metric as well

I have two 30 amp relays. I'll take some pics later.

Had you given any thought to the possibility of one relay failing and cutting off one pump ?

Awhile back I had one fuse blow and the other pump still worked. My fuel pressure dropped though.

Its no different than one of the pumps possibly failing is it?

When you setup the twin pumps did you install check valves to prevent one pump from forcing fuel into the other?

Just wondering if it was something that was normally done.

Under full boost that would have been catastrophic.

IMO the relay is more likely to fail than a pump.

I would have to disagree about the relay. I would say the opposite from experience, out of the hundreds of relays I have installed very few have failed. Out of say, 20 walbro pumps there are usually 1 to 2 failures, albiet sometimes they are doa, but still the failure rate is much greater than a quality relay.

I agree about the relay failure rate. I have installed tons of the bosch and potter brumfield back in my install days and only had a few fail. I just figure why take the chance. One relay should handle two walbros at 8A @ 43 psi, 10A @ 70 psi according to a few sites.
I would rather have both pumps fail due to a relay failure than have one fail due to a relay under boost IMO.

the walbro pumps have built in check valved if i recall correctly. i run mine so that the second turns on at 1psi of manifold pressure and over 50% throttle and did not have a problem with pressure drop when just the one was on.

Your right, they do have check valves. I just installed another one a couple weeks ago and verified that for myself.
