Default Fuel Hanger Twin Walbros

Here's a pick of my hanger. Seems to be working good. What a pain in the a__ this was to make. Our tank only has 6.5 inches from top to bottom.

cant really tell from the pic, but did you just use the factory hanger to suport the pumps, which then feeds into the block on the top??? in mine, i built an aluminum bracket that holds the pumps, and is then bolted to the top of the piece.

i agree, it is a big PITA to do the dual pumps.

Yes I used the stock top piece. Here's a pic of the top. I would of made an aluminum top piece but I want my float to work properly.

A few questions.

Does the fuel block come with openings on teh bottom or did you drill the holes that the pumps plug into?

Where is your return line going to enter the tank, it doesnt look like there is room for it near the fuel block?

Why do you need relays, cant you just hook up to the stock wiring?

Thanks

from the looks of it, the fuel enters the block from the bottom. also, the fuel return line i would guess comes back into the tank at the factory outlet, same way i did mine. the relays allow you to isolate the power wires, and also allow you to run larger guage wire up to the pumps than you could with just the factory wiring, which is too small for a larger high output pump.

one other question for you i just thought of, what material did you use to seal the tank between the block and the top of the stock hanger???

The stock factory outlet is the little plastic hole to the left of the brass fitting. I dont know how you would attach a return line to that?

I havent seen a fuel block with openings on the bottom I would love to know what brand/model that is.

thanks for the heads up on the relays, the addtional current requrements wasnt something I had thought of.

The return line I'm using was the stock feed line. I didn't change it, it just pushes in and there's a plastic clip that holds it in place. As for the block, it was a piece of solid aluminum that was cross drilled through the sides and also through the bottom. The block has four holes on the bottom that were tapped and that is what secures it to the stock piece. I used a gasket made for fuel applications. Similiar to cardboard feel and some special sealant. I really wanted a machine shop to make a billet top piece but they take too long. So, I tried this. As of right now, it works like a charm.

Cool, how did you connect the return from the fpr to the stock line. I assume you have braided line coming off the fpr. did you just use some sort of barb connector from the steel line with a hose clamp to the rubber line?
