I, I, I can't wait...for those numbers. Even though I have the S&S headers, just curious.

Wow... i guess i need to call them and replace the passanger.. I still have that ticking which its really ANNOYING. DIdn't know this was the problem.. Always thought it was a problem on the collector with the cat and/or up top on the gasket.

As a manufacture, they should. Esp if Carson is a dealer of their product. Have you contacted Carson? They'll probably warranty it.

ive heard that s&s has had a bad history with cracked welds and what not, but i was wondering if anyone had any input on the new version they put out. youknow, since the massive numbers of people came in after their first version, they decided to change the welds (correct me if im wrong, but thats just the story i heard).

i bought a set of the new ones (with the reinforced welds, hopefully) and havent had a chance to install them yet. im wondering if anyone has had any issues since s&s changed their headers?

I had them installed but its way too early to tell. The end of this week will make a month with the new version one on. All I can say for now, is that the performance is definitely still there from what I read.

i guess it's time to post mine. it actually cracked a couple of months back. i had my 90k service done the other day and crawled underneath to look at the crack. small crack but you can definately hear it.

what's the worst case senerio if i don't weld it soon? i don't have the $500 + funds to have it uninstall plus the welding at this time. Unless i figure a way to do it myself.

Sorry to hear, I actually was able to weld another members car not too long ago while still in the car. The weld was actually on top accessible by removing the battery and tray. So far I have not heard of any recurring issues but when mine went it had to be removed, I would generally recommend removing to fix however. For 430 models it does not take too long to remove, weld, and install. The hardest part of the entire install to begin with is removing the stock manifolds.

Yes, code if memory serves code 430 will kick out if a leak is present on the passenger side-common side.

that's something i need to look into. definately cost effective as long as the crack hasn't run to the back side where it's hard to reach. thanks pearlpower.

So far i can only confirm that it's the passenger side that's cracked. i didn't see any sign for the drive. (cross my fingers)

Do you know what batch of headers you got? I'm interested in doing this mod, but like others...am waiting to see if the final batch has solved all the problems w/ cracking. I know that there's another thread related to this, but I think yours was the latest update.
