Pretty much.

If you really think about it, the axle back is technically a "cat-back" since it bolts up to the piping section that contains the rear cats.

Just my $0.02

i'd stick with my Tanabe.. for the price of an axle-back, it's worth it.. i wouldn't want to pay $750 for an axle-back.. the mufflers look too plain and not as clean as the Tanabe..

I noticed those mufflers are circular... That leads me to believe that they are going to be very loud and ricey sounding. From what I undertstand, the oval mufflers are typically slightly less free-flowing, but don't sound as ridiculous. I don't know, though.

Hopefully soon people with videos and/or more people who have heard it first-hand can prove me wrong.

Dude, a V-6 engine isn't going to sound like a weedwacker with such an exhaust. It'll (HKS exhaust) definitely be more aggressive than the Tanabe. Anyways, hows the drone in the test vehicle??

FYI, I had another exhaust sensor bung welded into my rear exhaust for a WBO2 sensor. I removed the plug and sensor for a test "sound session", and it actually sounded pretty damn good. I believe that the sound couldn't ever be that bad if the stock mid section is used ...

Thats a misconception that the muffler design itself will make it loud and ricey sounding. Sound levels and tones are dictated by the whole design of the exhaust. Yes, the size of the muffler impacts the sound levels, but there are much more internally in the mufflers that control that.

This system is far from being loud and ricey. HKS would not make such an exhaust, let alone for a Lexus vehicle.

You are correct, the V6 has ample amount of exhaust flow to prevent the weedwacker sound, plus HKS designed the exhaust specifically for the vehicle , therefore the correct piping size and internal mufflers were used.

The drone is minimal to non-existant. I drove the vehicle for a short period of time and was happy with it. When I pick up my IS350, Ill be running this exhaust as well.

Although I had place an order for this exhaust, I also would like to know when the sound clip will be available. Do we all have to wait until I get mine at the end of January to hear it?

I know the MSRP is $750, but what is the "real" price, and who is selling it?
