Default How much and how hard to turbo a gs300??

Guys, how hard and how much am I looking at spending on turboing a gs300??This will make or break my decision! I am looking at a few cars right now, a 03' e500 sport, 03' clk430 cab and a 98' gs300.I am interested in the gs due to being able to turbo it, hopefully without breaking the bank!!

Way more than $2500. Factor in install, injectors, tuning & dyno time, the list goes on. There are many hidden costs to consider, not just the price of the kit.

Unless you're really dedicated, if you can afford an 03 E500 I would just get that, especially if you can still get some kind of warranty on it.

That's what I was going to say, way more than that.

You can't really put a price on it without talking specific parts. Some parts don't vary too much in price but some do. ( e-bay header $250 vs. race header $1000) It all depends. If your looking ballpark with engine swap, probably $ 10,000 , also depending on how much power you really want. Good luck.

It is very misleading to say "turbo a Gs300". What quality of parts are you looking at? New? Used? Power expectations? Reliability? Part types? Custom work? Live with bolt-ons you can find? Rubber lines? Braided lines? Dress up level parts? Engine management? Fuel management? Tuning?

Depending on the answers, you can be looking at 6k - 30k. Anyone who can do it for less is cutting corners, making compromises, and doing it themselves. If you are not doing it yourself, you won't be in the low end of my estimate.

if you do a 2jzgte swap and nothing else you will be at 300hp at the crank. it would be cheaper just to go and get a gs 400 and have the same hp without the weeeeesh offcourse, if money is the issue. that 2jzgte has potential, you just have to have deep pockets.

I think there's a few companies that make kits for a turbo. SRT is one of them.

Ditto on this | This would be the cheapest route IMO.
