Default lextreeme or rebuilt TC

i have a 95 sc400 with 175k miles . It runs fine no problems at all .. Im thinking about getting a lextreeme TC but have been considering taking the car to a shop and having the orig. TC stall speed set to 2400 which i think is its max. Reason is I would like to get a little more umph out of the car 0-60 but I am hesitant to make too much of a drastic change cause i dont want to put too much starin on an old tranny. Also i think rebuilding the orig. TC you still have a "locking" TC.. does this seem like a good idea.. any cons to this that i havent thought about??
