hello everyone,
i have been around this site a lot, and i just need to be real real clear before i make my purchase on an exhaust..

for the IS300, is the HKS hiper the best??
how much lower does it hang then the stock muffler??
is the HKS hiper and HKS dragger the same as far as power is concernd?

is there a more powerful exhaust ( one that wouldnt remove any catalytic converters) than the HKS hiper??? if so, which one and where can i get it and how much??

just so everyone knows, i dont want too loud, but within the limits type of loud to the exhaust sound...

i know that there are headers, but since i live in cali, im trying to go as powerful as i can, within legal limits..
i want to be able to leave everything on and still get a pass on my smog test/checkups..

also, i have heard that the SRT and AREA 51 intakes are not legal in cali..

which intakes ARE legal for california.. (im really hoping that its not just the drop in filters..)

im not looking to spend lots of time replacing parts after every smog test..

im just a real worrier and really want the best for my car, thats why im asking this jsut to be 110 percent positive on everything..

none of the intakes have CARB legal certs... I would go HKS hiper or Toyomoto exhaust..

Are the exhausts CARB legal? I never hear that they were....(?)

so , the exhausts arent CARB legal..
does that mean i shouldnt get it if i live in cali?
does that mean if i get pulled over for a fix it ticket, i cant get it dismissed??

I got pulled over by a pig today......he said my Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust was too loud and gave me a ticket for DEFECTIVE EXHAUST. i was like WTF......$122 ticket!.....thatz BS!

I thought the tanabe was carb cert... if so you can fight that and not pay ****..

Was the silencer on?

I've been told that the Racing Medallion is 50 state legal WITH the silencer, but thats just what I've heard. Either way, I leave it on cause the noise can be annoying.

Let start with the intake AEM stop selling intakes until they get CARB certs

HKS hiper is 50 States legal and no exhaust gets a CARB Cert. they have a diffrent cert the has to do with sound level.

And for the guy that thinks we have 52 state, you must not have heard Cuba and Costa Rica didn't join the us sorry.
