Talking Install of HKS Exhaust in Houston

i just ordered the newly released HKS hi power exhaust for my IS350.

does anyone have a referral in houston on who to use for installing this?
i know this is bolt on and i did the one from my old IS300 but this time around i rather pay someone else to do it and get it done faster.
i don't have the tools nor jack stands to do it myself this time.

got a couple quotes already for $100, which is too much.
looking to pay $40-$50 to install this.

also just ordered the fujita intake as well.
any recommendations on shops to install this as well?

thx for your input!

Hey i got my Lexus HKS installed today. They charged me 45 bucks. It's a simple bolt on and it didn't take but 30 minutes. I was going to do it myself but the fact is that it's still cold and raining out there. I didn't want to be laying on the ground and i didn't want to wait any longer for the weather to change. Now the intake i would recommend you do it yourself. It's not hard and you don't need to lift your car up. I did mine last week when the weather was still fair.

thats what i thought it should run. if i call midas they would do it for that amount i think. the quote i got for $100 was from an 2 aftermarket tuner shops.

i agree with you, i did not want to lay around on the ground either, it's been rainy and cold in h-town, though i heard big d got hit with snow earlier this week.

i wanted the HKS version rather than lexus since i wanted a diff look and sound.
i had the greddy evo 2 on my old IS300 and that was very mellow not raspy.

If I couldn't do it myself, I would just go to any hole in the wall auto garage for the exhaust. There's no reason not to install the intake yourself. It just takes the most basic hand tools.

Forget the Tuner places. Just call a local muffler shop. Hell, Midas can put it on for you.

Why dont you guys just put the exhaust on yourselves? Installing an axelback exhaust really isn't that hard. For one, you'll learn something. 2. You'll feel better. What's all this "i cant lay on the ground because its cold or raining talk? Dont you guys have a garage to put your investment with 20s and bodykit in during inclement weather?? You can put on your exhaust in the garage.

The OP made it quite clear that he doesn't have tools or jack stands. Sounds totally reasonable to me.

i found midas shop that will do install for $45.
so that's where i will go.

been there, done that on installing exhaust before, just lazy this time plus i don't have the tools.

the first time i did this, i was at my friends house using his stuff.
don't want to bother him again that's all.

the intake i will definitely do myself as simple tools are required.

you can contact my buddy mike @ teamshiftpoint . it's a local hobbyshop for cars and they do stuff on the side. they actually service several of my friend's cars (including some n/a modded is300s and a few turbo is300s). mike's contact# 832-372-7225, and you can ask for a quick quote over the phone. tell him bernard sent you.
