Default Supercharger vs. Turbocharger

I know there's already a thread about this but it just isn't the same without a poll, and you know me and polls.

That depends on what you want out of the car. I love both but for different reasons. Superchargers offer the instant torque feeling while turbos offer the constant pulling and rubberband effect that slings you forward.
Mmmmm boosties the breakfast of champions.

turbocharger is proven more reliable, efficient, and powerful. Not sure about the Lexus world, but in VWs turbo's are also cheaper.

If I owned a V8, I'd get a charger, otherwise - turbo.

You don't get that instant torque when you use a centrifugal supercharger, just with the roots/whipple type.

I am not sure which one I would do if I were to charge my GS, most likely turbo since there is a lot more potential with turbo setups.

Thats true, however it is also dependant upon boost. I have a friend with an svt rustang whipple instant and linear, and I have another with a P1SC that ran at 6lbs on a rustang and it came online instantly. Then we stepped the P1SC up to 17lbs it came on fast for the first 6psi and then acted more like a turbo spooling.
I love any type of FI.

Turbocharger - lag is overrated!! Turbocharger cos there's alot more options and no parasitic loss - also proven to make higher torque/bhp than superchargers...Read up on it .
