Are the Hi-Power tips larger than the HKS OEM tips?

If so, I assume that the Hi-Power is the loudest of the after market exhausts?

The Hi-Power tips are huge, but that doesn't have anything to do with the sound. I'm sure the LMS exhaust is significantly louder than the HKS.

Default To Gernby & Others :Greddy SP2..Quieter?

I have been shopping around for exhaust lately and have probably called 20 different people in 20 different states just to find out other peoples opinions. From what I can see, from their opinions that is, is that the Greddy SP2 exhaust would be the quietest way to go

Don't quote me on that because I also got the impression that some of the people just told me what I wanted to hear about the exhaust that they had in stock..

From my point of view...If you wanna go fast(er), most likely it's going to be loud(er)...But you do drive a Lexus...Not a Civic (Aka: pissed off Bumble bee)

Does anybody know what the IS350's stock dB level is? According to Carson Lexus, the HKS is "below 90 dB", which I thought is pretty damn quiet, isn't it? I thought the stock exhaust was about that loud. Also makes me wonder what the dB level of the Tanabe is...

I'm stressing over the volume of the exhaust a little too much, here, heh. I really want to improve the sound, and make the car sound pissed off at WOT, but at the same time, a loud exhaust is a great way to draw more attention from cops, and I see one around here like ever five feet. I also see someone being pulled over practically every day... I've been lucky so far...

Well the HKS Hi Power is pretty loud, but the 350 has so much power it's not really making that much noise just keeping up with traffic.
It's not so much it's that loud, it's just that the stock system is that quiet!
At least that's how I look at it.
Now wide open throttle running through the gears up to 6000+ rpm, it's pretty dang loud.
Sure is a heck of a lot of fun, though.
Me, I'm never going back!

What about up to about 4K RPM? I pretty frequently like to get up to around that rpm in regular traffic.

I've heard the HKS before in Gernby's car, but I realized after the fact that I was never paying attention to the tachometer when I was listening, heh.

What is the diameter of those tips?...look large in that shot. As joonsta requested, any chance of shots from different angles?

I think the tips are 115mm (Family sized coffee cans).

lol, sorry for being so picky about this, but could you take one more rear shot like 10 to 20 feet away from the car?

I just want to see how the exhaust proportion is compared to the entire butt of the car.

I feel bad for asking just you, but no one ever posts pics of the HKS exhausts around here ...

Thanks!

No problem, Joonsta, not quite that far away but see if this one gives you a decent perspective.
I know what you mean, I searched and searched and only found a few good photos of the exhaust.
