A650E..

The A340E are mostly found in the 1st gen GS and older years of the SC300. Toyota doesn't use the A340E anymore..not that I know of..

I believe the 340 is the 4-speed unit and the 650 is the 5-speed unit. So thus, all the 2nd Gen GS have the 650.

I've just looked up the manual and it states that all 2nd gen GS uses the A650E transmission. The A340 was used on the automatic MKIV supra because I just looked at my friends supra to confirm this.
