I would like to know how you can mount a supercharger on top of the 3.5 litre engine. The is 350 engine has a compression ratio of 11.8, and i thought you had to have lower compression like 8.0 to 9.0 to mount a supercharger, unless I'm mistaken, that rule might be just for blowers.....let me know guys I'm willing to be corrected.
You can put an SC on anything. The problem with the IS350's compression ratio is that the boost can't be very high. I think the LMS SC is just pushing 4-5 PSI.
Get the Supercharger. You will love it. I couldn't imagine my car not supercharged. Let me know if you have any questions, i would be more than happy to help.
so is it possible for an alabama boy to put this on himself if i ordered it or would it be recommended i drive aLL the way to cali? i'd love to have one and what type of management is offered if any?

Where you at in AL, and are you close to the coast?

I'm not trying to fuel the fire on the cost vs benefit debate, but I feel like the IS350 is probably the worst platform at the moment for FI when you consider cost. If you compare the cost of a JoeZ intake pipe ($100), drop-in filter ($40), secondary cat removal ($60), HKS Hi-Power exhaust ($600), lite weight battery ($100), and smaller diameter rear tires ($400) with an SC ($6000+), I don't think there's any reasonable justification for an SC.
The NA mods that I mentioned are all that I have done, and I still have the quickest 1/4 mile time in street trim (13.251 @ 105.34). Unless an SC'ed IS350 beats my time or trap speed, I don't see any reason to consider the LMS SC. Traction issues are no excuse for not at least matching NA times.
