Ummm. YUP. Worst for efficiency. No power rating will change the physics. Sorry if it offends you, but the fact remains, you put more power into a roots blower for the same output than you do any other style of blower. I've worked with roots and centrifugal blowers both, so it's not like I haven't seen the facts.

They're not doing the 100:1 thing. Most gearboxes for cars start at 3.5:1, not 35:1 or 100:1. That's the problem. If you can solve that reliably, you're in for a big payday.
