Has anyone evaluated and tried other drop in filters besides K&N? I've used K&N on my other vehicles with no discernable difference. I'd like to know about any of the following....TRD, Tom's filter, AEM, or SRT drop in. I'd like to realize a modest mpg and performance improvement without spending more than $150 or so. Any other suggestions?

I recommend an AEM dryflow filter over K&N's. They're a little more restrictive, but then again they filter very very well compared to the K&N's and don't have big holes in the filter like K&N. The AEM filter is not a drop in, it's just a replacement cone filter for people that already have an aftermarket intake installed. I run a huuuuge 4" intake X 10" long one in my car

I went ahead and ordered a Tom's high flow filter after talking with them. Should have it this week and will let others know about effect on mileage, sound, acceleration(if any). If I can get an extra 1-2 mpg with easy cleanability, then it's worthwhile to me.
