Default Turbo's

Well guys currently I am looking at 60-1 turbo's and I really don't know what to get. I am looking at Turbonetics, Garrett, and Master Power. Any other brands I should look at?

Please help me out guys!

I have used Innovative & Precision in the past. Master power is cheap but for a reason. Some people have good luck with them, but I like to stay with name brand turbos for peace of mind.

A lot of turbos are built using some garrett parts. I dont have any personal experience with them. From what Ive read they are good quality turbos. They have been around for a while. Just dont go cheap on the turbo and you should be fine.

Get a Precision and be done with it. Go to there website look around then give them a call. There are dealers all over the place and they will do anything to help you out. I don't know if you will be installing everything yourself, but their support is great. I called the support line during install for help on what sized oil lines, fittings, etc. I've also used Greddy, Mitsubishi, and Garrett. They were all good turbos, but I like the Precision the most. Good luck!

Do you think a 60-1 A/R .7 for compressor and A/R .69 for Turbine is a good size for my goals?

for the fange you want you should go look at the stage 1 kit from srt and you should be about to find all the parts you need plus the size needed to achieve your HP goal.

Quick question, I've got a 2G GS3. Why couldn't I use the same turbo kit that the IS300 uses? I mean they're essentially the same car right?

i thought you could? i thought the only part needed to change would be the intercooler pipe. The one that attaches to the TB since the IS is shorter...

Intercooler pipes are different, you would have to fabricate them. The IS and the GS are not the same car, or the same chassis.

So, the only thing I would need to fab is the IC piping?

Yeah, pretty much just fab up some new IC piping. You really just have to extend the pipes that come with the kit. Don't have to start all over again.

Am I going to want a Tangential Housing or On-center housing?
