does anyone have any first hand information on the TOM'S supercharger. I am thinking about getting it. Also, does anyone know of a good performance shop that could install it. I am in the L.A. area.

isn't the LMS car's getting crappy times at the dragstrip? like slower than stock? I'd say wait a while before investing in forced induction for this car. It's too new!

i dunno about slower than stock... i'm sure its faster, but as far as tracking goes, an effective exhaust setup, good tires, and slight weight reduction seem to be better off. as far as i know, the LMS s/c is just pricey but is definitely faster than stock.

The LMS supercharger has dyno'd at 300 hp at the rear wheels, approx 35hp over stock, for the low price of $5,500. I have not seen the exact hp #'s for the TOM'S kit but do know it costs $10,500 retail. For that much money the blower better work on my %&#@ and %$@& and tickle my @#! while massaging my *&&%&$.

the only reason that ive heard of the LMS supercharged 350's are getting bad times is because of traction issues. the car will peel out if redlined at either 1st or 2nd gears.

Yea... but he was asking for the TOMS S/C kit... and someone mentioned that it's $10,500 just for the kit. Even if you get the LMS one, after installation and getting your car to run right with only +35whp, you'd probably end up spending atleat $10,000. Not to mention the warranty that you throw out the window. And if you want unique... or even somewhat try to compare to the IS-F... you'd need 19 inch wheels and tires (around $3000), Full kit ($2000), Suspension ($2000), Brakes ($3500 just for a pair). Just to get that far, it would cost about $20,500. Sell the IS350 for maybe 31k and you're already in the 50k region. And your car still wouldn't even be close to the IS-F. There's still the custom interior factor, 8 speed trans. with faster shifting, rare paint color, ect ect. I think it's much more worth it to spend the extra cash to just get an IS-F rather than doing major upgrades to the 350. Just my opinion.

I've read the same, but I can't figure out why. From what I've read (and remember), Roro got his best 1/4 mile time before the SC with street tires. It doesn't make any sense at all that he couldn't beat those times even with drag radials after the SC. It's a mystery.
