I was wondering if I could swap a dual clutch and a lightweight flywheel in an auto?
doable?
Good idea?

If your dealership does not know (or pretends not to know), about the update tell them to look up the following Technical Service Information Bulletin:
TSIB EG003-01
It has been officially released and available now. The update is a two part update depending on your problems, one is an engine ECU update program and the second is replacement of the TRAC ecu.
The ECU reprogram update affects all IS300s whose VIN number is LOWER/BEFORE 10025186
The TRAC ECU replacement affects all IS300s whose VIN number is LOWER/BEFORE 10029014
These is no specific Manufacture date but VIN number verification.

I've got a 2001 IS300. I've been having problems w/ the shifting from 2nd to 3rd every once in a while. The shift is very jerky. I've heard that its a problem w/ the first IS300 made. I called my dealership, and they refused to do anything about it. And i called lexus customer service, and they said i have to duplicate the problem w/ the technician. Any of you guys know anything, or have any suggestions. Thanks
bad maf sensor readings, whic happens from a few different things, but one thing that will do it every time is a aftermarket intake. DO NOT replace the factory intake with an aftermarket one. the factory maf and it's calibration are extremely sensitive to changes.
Other possibility is bad capacitors/drivers on your ecu which is fairly common on vehicles that are in states that get really hot or on vehicles that have been stored for extended periods of time.
