Thumbs up L Tuned Sound

Some guys have asked about the sound. There is a nice low rumble when you give it gas from a stop and when accelerating. At cruise (60-80) it is a mild sound that matches the Lexus image but lets others know you have 300HP at your disposal. I had flowmaster two chambers on my mustang gt and they were so obnoxiously loud whenever you hit the gas (WHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!) that I cringed every time I accelerated. The L tuned mufflers are high quality and cost $30 for the dealer to install although you could do it yourself.
The tips look cool too. Unlike the borlas, Lexus will warranty the L tuned mufflers.

Cool L Tuned Mufflers

How does the L-Tuned Mufflers look? I could not find any picture with a GS and L-Tuned mufflers mounted. How much does the tip stick out rear of the bumper and is the body of the muffler bottom chamber viewable from the side of the car? I believe the Borlas are very slim for the GS. I have Borlas on my SC400 and the bottom does not stick out past the car's body panels. I am not planning on any body kits therefore side view is quite important also.

I am still waiting for my new special ordered GS430 which will be arriving early next month and still debating whether to go with the Borla S/S or the T-Tuned mufflers (Was told by Steve that it was made by HKS).

Have anyone heard the sound quality for both the Borla and L-Tuned?

Thumbs up L Tuned Muffler look

The L tuned mufflers have about a 4 inch oval single tip or about twice as big as the stock crome cover that goes over the 2.25 inch stock tail pipe. They install so the tip is centered in the bumper cut out and protrude about 3 inches. You can also catch a glimpse of the muffler itself which is also stainless. The tips look great and in my opinion are well proportioned to the car. Its not like some of the 6 inch single pipes you see on civics etc
