Could you guys share some dimensions on how large you went on the coolers? Depth? How large can you go without clearance problems? How much of an increase in fluid capacity you gained? How much of a temperature drop you saw? Do the any of the units have a temperature by-pass so that you don't run the oil too cool to remove water condensation?
Thanks

I used the TRD tranny cooler designed for the Tacoma. Excellent quality and compact design. http://www.toyotapartstrd.com/mc-bbg-ec.aspx . I fabbed up brackets and mounted it in front of the RH fender liner. The JDM Aristo JZS161 comes with a vented liner I assume for airflow thru the factory I/C? I guess you could cut out the "louvers" moulded into your USDM ones.

Lots of good information!

So many people just installed it in the middle on the front. Some said to the lower right side. What is the "best" place to have it? Any thoughts?

I am in the market of getting one.

Which Cooler do you prefer? B&M or Hayden?

thanks!

I think the Hyden and B&M condensed units are about the same just a matter of preference. I choose the right side of the radiator only because it looked like a slightly wider opening of air.Maybe not that big a deal.

sakataj, the cooler will connect to the stock trans oil cooler line. It's the two rubber hoses going into the bottom of the radiator. Just unhook those and run a new hose to the cooler. Or some people run a new cooler in line with the stock one to get double cooling.

Oh and did someone say transmission cooler(s)?

Has anyone thought about pulling on from a wrecked Tundra or better yet a lexus GX or LX? The tundra is about 6x10 inches, and the Lexus's are almost twice that. Just a thought of keeping it in the family...
