Not saying you shouldn't do it in this instance, but a cautionary tale:
A few years back I lent my other car to a local "tuning" company to let them R&D a new intake for the car -- it was a new model and at the time no one else had an intake available -- and they promised me a free intake for my trouble. The owner promised to take care of my car "as if it were [his] own". I was leaving for Las Vegas anyways so I gave them the keys and came back a few days later, when I got a message from the owner of the company saying he had taken my car out for a night out on the town and smashed the front end of my car into a concrete column in a parking garage. He did give me the new intake as promised but I went through a very painful process getting the car repaired -- the guy wanted me to go through one of his friends' shops so they could get a hooked-up price, I wasn't sure they were going to do a decent job, etc. I was the guinea pig once, never again.

I suppose I'll drive around the block with the exhaust and test it out first.
If I don't like it...well, too bad for me then.
I suppose they wouldn't mind reinstalling my old exhausts.
Well, the guy mentioned above that they won't drive the car.
But I'm still trying to make sure I get a guarantee for the safety of my car.
And I'm still trying to scam proof this...
No offense to the OP, but I just want to make sure everything goes right.
Any suggestions or advices from my fellow CL members?

PMok, that is a really scary story and can understand why you would never do something like that. A customers car should NEVER been driven for "a night out of the town".
Like I said the car will stay in the shop at all times. I can guarantee the mileage will be exactly the same when you drop it off and when you pick it up. So there are no worries there. It will be in the shop at all times, but I would suggest giving me a call so you can get a feel for me and the way we do things. I am pretty straitforward and easy to talk to. Yes, you can keep your old exhaust so if there is anything you don't like you can reinstall the stock exhaust and sell ours.
Anyways I think we might already have a guy who wants to do this early next week. Thanks
