There are lots of discussions on this.
It depends on which car you are talking about. The GS300 has a higher stock stall speed to make up for lack of low end torque compared to the V8. I think stock stall speed is around 2500 or so. The V8 cars have a OEM stall speed of 1800 so going to a 2800 in a V8 cars makes a huge difference. I ordered a 3000 stall speed PI TC and love it. I think if you get much higher than that the car becomes harder to drive normally.

ya i agree... the stock TC is rated at 1800 or so, thats as much as i can brake rev the car before a launch...
most folks choose the 2800 stall speed...i wouldn't know about how good it would run at 3000rpm... or 3500,

For drag racing? Probably.
But your city driving will suffer if the TC keeps on slipping until 3000 RPM (or whatever the stall speed is). Your gas mileage will suffer. Doesn't help that you have a Supercharger also.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
You're going to have a hard time with so much power and a very high stall convertor.
Go with the 2800RPM stall if you must get a TC. DaveGS4 is running one with his boosted GS.

You higher is better for dragging or racing mostly. I think your better off just jumping from the 1800 to 2800-3000 range. I have a 3200 stall and its great. very little lag. I can say 3200 would be great for you from my experiance but maybe you want to play it safe and aty around 3k....also get a real nice tranny cooler...
