Default Emissions Inspection Issues

Has anyone encountered problems passing an emissions inspection after an exhaust mod?

I don't think you should. Most of the aftermarket exhausts for our car are axle-backs, some also with an aftermarket y-pipe. It should meet the emissions standards but maybe not decibel. I removed the 2 rear resonators after putting on my Magnaflow to get a louder tone. I did not touch the catalytic converters. I don't know why, but I've been to various smog shops and some of the techs there seem to hassle me with my previous cars (all had exhaust but cats intact). They failed me on the visual inspection.
