Default NA-T on the GS300

which Turbo header fits on the GS300? would the boost logic header or ebay header that fits on the 2jz-ge fit on the GS300 (2nd gen) without fitment issues? i know i t fits on the SC300 but i know the firewall and the frame rails are different on the GS and SC.

also how much power is the stock GE tranny good for? i'd like to keep the tranny shifter on the steering wheel...

i think the tranny between the SC300 and the GS300 are the same right? as well as the Differential... just that the drive shaft is of different length?

who has the highest powered GS300 (2nd gen)?

The SC300's 2JZ-GE is different from the 2nd gen GS300's. They added VVTi for the newer 2JZ's but also put in lighter rods for less rotational mass and quicker revs...downside is that since the rods are thinner they're also weaker. Max power on stock internals is about 500rwhp or so, but you're just playing the waiting game at that point. The rods will snap eventually at that power level. The SC and 2GS tranny are also different. SC=4spd 2nd GS=5spd. The 5sp tranny can hold about 300-350rwhp in stock form with a tranny cooler. 400-450rwhp with valve body upgrade. 500-650rwhp with a full race build.

As for highest powered GS300...I'm not quite sure about that. Hopefully I'll be able to take that title one day but for now I'm at around 350-400rwhp.

If you want more info...read up on my thread where I documented my turbo build process.

Jeff, if we are comparing actual highest HP from a GS300, I think you will have competition !!! Eventually, I am aiming for 700+! This is what keeps me going! COMPETITION.

900+ here, but mine is a 1st gen. Might even go more if I decide to go GT45 turbo instead of the GT42.

Hey, not fair you have a GTE swap! I'm just NA-T...for now
I'll run till my motor blows out then I'll drop in a GTE. My eventual power goal is around 700-800rwhp as well...so we'll be pretty close

I hear you I hear you! HEHEHE, actually, I limited myself (not thinking clearly from the get go) with the VVTi 2jz-gte, I will still get good numbers out of it, but I do have a non-VVTi on stand by in the future, 'if' anything happens!

With the VVTi Aristo swap that I am currently running, I am aiming for around 600~650 eventually. Have read pros and cons in regards to the VVTi motors, we'll see what I can do before it blows. Now, once the 'other' motor goes in, I am aiming right off the back 700+ with my HKS GT2835, but I am thinking that the limitations will be the turbo kit.

Take off those little HKS twins and bolt on a GT55. We have a couple of the T6 manifold is stock. But it would be hard to drive on the street with that 5 inch down pipe and exhuast. Let me know if you are ready to pull it off Ian .

The GT55 is a beast. You have some pics of your current set up?

This is the latest picture I have, but now I have gone full GTE with custom intake manifold. I won't have any more updated pictures for another month or so, still in the build process. Pauter Rods and CP pistons. Head will have 1mm valves and 272 cams.

Is that a Gt42 ? Have you thinking about the 280 cams? I had the 272 cams on my small pt74 and really love it. Since then the GT47-88 is in place and I decided to go with the 280. Couldn't be happier. A friend of mine in houston has the GT55 and currently running the comp cams. These are the higher compare to 280 HKS. What tranny are you using? Th400?

Yes, GT42, but I might upgrade, it depends.

Don't know about 280's, how do those perform on the street?

Also I will be running E85 100% of the time.

Tranny will be a built T56 or a TKO600. Haven't decided yet, but probalby T56.
