They bought the Megan full catback, and they don't have secondary cats anymore...

I'm confused. This thread is about headers. The Megan headers will definitely cause a check engine light unless you relocate the secondary O2 sensors to the other side of the secondary cats. If you also remove the secondary cats by replacing the exhaust system, then you will need to find a 5-wire ECG O2 simulator (very difficult to find now), or deal with the check engine light forever.

Basically, it is VERY difficult to totally remove all cats with late model cars without causing check engine lights.

Why not?!!?! There is no actual difference other than the car is newer. Its not like youre putting in a turbo kit with methanol injection... intake, headers and exhaust is kid play and nothing to fear even if its a Lexus IMO. Modding is modding.

I agree. Why spend thousands of dollars modding a $3K car? I would much rather spend the same amount of money on a car when it is still nice.

all depends on what you like ..... i probably have just as much if not more into upgrades on my 88 SC MR2 as i do my IS300, and my 89 Supra would have made both of these look tame on the budget level before i decided to change direction and parted it out.

with regard to the O2 sensor, can't the bung hole just be located on the collector in order to avoid any problems; this setup would be similar to where the O2 sensor is located on the stock manifold. It seems all that is needed is an extending cable down to the collector.

I would love to run a nice set of headers if it can make as much power as the other thread on here stated. (30whp)

i'm in. and whatever headers are produced, if they are, i'm 99% sure they won't work/fit on the *new* IS300.

i'm interested in headers but does anyone thing it's possible to do something with the 250awd headers. i haven't had much time to get under the car and see how their routed and if the awd axles/system would cause problems or not with an aftermarket header. i know we got a bunch of 350's here but i bet alot of us 250's would like the increase of power, especially me with the awd.

acuras are starved for good air flow. intake on those cars combined with headers get 30whp. hopefully it'll be just as good getting rid of the primary cats also.

also most of us with axle back exhausts will still have the secondary ats so technically we would still kind of be legal hahaha

if someone produces one like in the other thread that was just locked i would test fit them on my 250awd just to see if they fit and does not have clearance issues
