with toyomoto the vvti is not disabeled...works very well...
yes stock head bolts are used...i still have stock head bolts in my car
a toyomoto cast manifold will work on the is300 ans sc300...but i dont know about other manifolds...i cant vouch for them...Jeff

Is the IS300 the 2JZ-GE, just like the SC300 engines?
Also, do the IS300 and SC300 use the same 5 sped tranny?

It'll be awhile before the prices of TCs, and SCs drop. Think about all of the engerring that goes into them. Then consider the testing, and the guy who is the guinepig and has to have his car in the shop all of the time (he would have to have another car to get to and from work etc). The inital cost that those dealers put in is amazing, and lets face it. They have to make money, otherwise they are going to go out of business.
I do agree though, if the prices were less I'd get one sooner... but it's doubtful they will ever drop too much.
