Kieth Craft Motorsports in Plano near 75 and the GB Tollway. It's a pretty nice shop.

im seriously thinkin about doing this.. cuz im getting sick of the drone from the HKS.. does anyone know how much it would cost to get this done at a shop?? and to the people that have done this.. how much of a difference is it from the inside?? almost to the point of stock? i wish i could go back to stock, but i just ditched the stock exhaust at the shop i installed my HKS, cuz i had no way of getting it back.. big mistake.

Nice vids, Gernby, the car sounds great with the inserts. Did anybody else jump out of the way when the car started barreling straight for the camera? Or maybe that's just me...

What is there to "get done" at a shop? All you have to do is drill 2 holes. Granted, those 2 holes take a bit of time to drill, but jeesh...

Mine don't rattle at all!

You just need new muffler bearings, $199.95 each at the parts counter!

Can anyone tell me the power gains that the HKS Hi-Power is giving the IS350?

It is going to be about like every other axle-back exhaust ... probably about 5 rwhp.

if anyone wants to buy it, this is the cheapest place i could find.
cardomain.com doesnt seem to have it anymore.

$32.97 x 2 = $65.94 + $13.00 shipping = $78.94.
http://www.sportcompactonly.com/HKS/...50_p-51870.htm

If anyone finds cheaper, list them up!

great job gernby!

so the drone is GONE? or there is very little? i just had my HKS installed 4 days ago and i swear the drone is driving me insane sometimes...i love the sound of the car outside tho...from what i gathered in the video, the higher notes of the exhaust is drowned out by the silencer (that's what i think anyways)...

so compared to stock..u haven't actually lost any power/torque rite? if that's true then i'm gonna order the silencers if i'm still annoyed after 400km (yes km...yay canada haha)...i didn't really expect to gain much from an axleback anyways...

again, great review

Greg, don't think I told you but I bought a brand new, 2008 model Dynojet in-ground with load control. If you are looking for the most consistant and repeatable unit in DFW this is it. Most of the dyno's in the DFW area including KCM's unit are over 10 years old

My unit also has the ability to hold the vehicle under a load at a given RPM or MPH for tuning...

You mentioned that you were using a high speed drill, were you drilling the holes at high speed also? If so that is why you "melted" several bits. Next time, try using as much pressure as possible without breaking the bit and low RPM and it will drill like butter.
