I pusned mine all the way into the can, then pulled it back out about 1/2". Mine did rattle at certain RPMs with the single bolt, so I used a hammer and screw driver to knock the other side of the silencer in a bit more to get it "stuck" in the can. No more rattle...

hmm so that's around 4" in? would u actually lose more power if u bolt it at the tip of the exhaust?

As I think I said above, the silencers don't reduce power according to datalogs. When I measured my rate of accelleration with and without the silencers in the same direction on the same road from the same stop sign within 15 minutes of each other, there was no difference. I guess it's possible that insertion depth could change this as well, but I doubt it.

just put in the silencers..and it's perfect...omg i love this exhaust now...louder and more defined than tanabe (tho tanabe looks better haha) and the drone inside isn't completely gone but it's only slightly louder than stock...but sounds great outside...no more annoying passengers lol

installed it 3.75 inches in (so inserted completely and pulled out a bit)...man that t304 is insane to drill thru...

Gernby- what's the difference between the 115mm ones you bought SKU:HKS-3306-RA076 (6886) to the others ones by HKS - SKU:HKS-3306-RA075 (6889) They're both 115MM but the other is double the price?

Without actually researching it, my guess is that there is a matte black painted steel insert (cheaper) and a polished stainless steel insert (more expensive). I got the matte black ones.

Ok , just ordered mine. I got word that the other has something to do with the TI exhaust compatibility. I went with the matte black like yours. 1 week wait time but it'll be worth it. I can't stand the droning noise going up hills, the reverberating noise is just not tolerable.

ok , Just got them in, used metal bits to drill with a battery operated drill. Took roughly a couple mins per tip. Wow is all I can say with the difference in drone in the cabin. There is still a LITTLE drone but very tolerable. I dont get that excessive drone when going up a hill around 2k-3k rpms. I don't get that intense vibration noise as if I have an airplane in my ears. No noticable difference in performance. I can actually hear my Fsport intake again.
