Look what I made...Cold Air Box

The cut-out section on the front of the box was made specifically so when the hood closes it makes a perfect seal. The hood seal and rubber stopper fit nicely when the hood closes. I had to do these cut-outs with my particular setup because the K & N FIPK intake sits a little high in the engine bay. The top part of the box is pretty much touching the top part of the filter. So I was unable to drop the top of the box lower for hood clearance - so cut-outs were needed to make it work. The material I used was laying around my house; not sure where my father got it from? It's called ChemCast Acrylic sheets. It is a type of ThermoPlastic that has very good characteristics. If you search Chemcast on-line you will find their site. Sheets can be purchased at different sizes, thicknesses and colors! The melting/combustable temperature is over 600 degrees so I'm not worried at all about anything blowing up. It is lighter than BOTH regular plastic and many metals including sheetmetal and has a very nice shiny finish. I definitely noticed a difference in pull on the highway...it is a great mod and would suggest it to anyone. Thanks

No template...just a lot of measuring and test fitting.
Either Bilstein PSS (DaveGS4's stance looks great in that pic) or maybe the Tein Flex but only if I add that EDFC right away. I'm kind of leaning towards the Bilsteins because when I eventually get a body kit I won't want to go any lower anyway especially with these NY roads.

If I had it to do all over again, my choice would be:
1. Bilstein PSS
2. Tein CS v2
3. JIC VIP
4. Tein Flex
