Default No turbo?

Will there ever be a turbo for the IS350....? My buddy has a 335 coupe and with a $1000 chip he gets big gains. What is the deal?

BMW has a lot of history with turbos, and a lot of enthusiasts that want to engineer turbos for their cars.

Lexus is still not in the turbo game. There are a few people that want to turbo a Lexus at this time. It will come, but unfortunately, not fast enough for a lot of enthusiasts.

You can if you want engineer one yourself if you can..

Toyota was very much in the turbo game... a decade ago too... A shame that they stopped.

What is the source for this info?

Also, I have read the the 335 has oil tempature problems due to the turbos. I don't think turbos are the only way to go.

By the way any chips for the lexus?

^ That problem is fixed on the 335. That was only for the initial batch without oil coolers.

I was in Lexus training and one of the guys who was going over the changes in the upcoming models said the biggest complaint for the IS250 is that it is too slow. He said that they are planning on showing a turbo kit for the IS250 at SEMA. I was going to ask if it was for 2WD or AWD or even the 350 but he got ambushed with other questions (like there was realy any other questions that should have been asked) and I had to move on. One of our master techs asked him in a later group and he said IS250 & IS350. No word on 2WD or AWD though. We shall see, but these were the same guys who told us about the ISF way before it was anounced.

it would be much cheaper if you just traded in your is350 for the 335 than to try and shove an aftermarket turbo and intercooler underneath your hood.
