Default 08 IS350 Tanabe Install

The day after taking delivery of my IS350, I took it to a GREAT shop that is owned and operated by two Lexus master mechanics. Eric's Wrench in Delray Beach, FL did an outstanding install and only charged me $50. Here are a few pics for you. The Tanabe sounds excellent!! This pic is the stock exhaust that was already being removed, that is why it is lop-sided.

I'm not sure how to add multiple pics, so I'll do it via one message at a time. They commented about the "very good" quality of the Tanabe exhaust.

Getting there, a few more to go... The Tanabe bolted right up and the factory hangers fit perfectly.

WOW you haven't even broken in your car and you already started modding...lol .You will love it even more once it settles in. It gets deeper at lower RPMS. Congrats.

Now for the other side... The exhaust centered itself perfectly once both sides were on.

Almost there... These are the two Lexus master mechanics who started their own Lexus / Toyota shop.

Ahhh... Tanabe at last... My car was very dirty as it rained the night before. I'll post pics of the 3M clear bra instal and then a quick series of me and my IS in a week or so. Can someone please tell me how to do more than one pic in a single post. Thanks...

You can't . You have to upload your pictures to the web somewhere and use [IMG] tags to insert multiple images into a post.

Tanabe is a great looking and sounding exhaust. I'm sure you will be more than happy with it down the road!!!

Nice!

Can you post pics of the car on the ground?

How much did the exhaust cost you?

I think you've made up my mind on what exhaust to purchase for the car once it arrives. The y-pipe is a much smother transition compared to the stock one. The fitment with the hangers looks good as well. The entire system is stainless. It had oval muflers with square end plates that look like the OEM. The HKS hi-power is round cans and the Lexus HKS is rounded on the mufflers and end plates to appear like its an aftermarket unit. The fact that the tips clears the OEM rear lower spoiler is a plus and it appears to fit very well there. Plus its priced better than the HKS hi-power or the Lexus HKS exhaust.

I think I'm sold on it and I need to find out who has the best price on it now. The car is still 3 months away from arriving.
