The circled areas are two zip ties to hold the hose. The circled hose that runs across the top of the engine has enough play in it that it can rest on the hot engine. With zip ties, the hose is suspended above the engine about 2" inches.

It might have been. There was a hose hunger under the OEM intake. I/we got caught up in the moment and didn't pay attention to which of the many hoses was secured by the OEM intake hanger. After inspection when the OEM intake was off, that is when we realized the need for the zip ties.

Very impressive job.......but,

Now you've got me thinking ground effects package (which IMO looks better on a dark color than my light color), and a JoeZ intake.

Your instructional pictures are a great help. Thanks, and keep it up.

Thanks. Several threads have helped me in the forum and I feel it to be appropriate to give back when and how I can. Adding pics tend to shed greater insight to the topic.

Wow all it is is a Tube? What does it cost 300? I think I can make that by buying some PVC pipes from HomeDepot for $5!

To respect the site here, all I will say its that it costs less than each of the mods to date listed in your sig.. (I lumped your red outs w/the clear bra)

The Joe Z intake is more than a simple tube. His tube is rather large, so very smooth inside, and has a wonderful finish. What really makes the Joe Z tube special is the every so sexy silicone couplers...mmmmmm

Actually, the tube not only looks great, but has proven gains. Research the threads about the Joe Z intake and you'll see.

Those numbers in my engine bay are internal Lexus codes for the JDM spec engine that I have. Something like 15 more hp and 10 more tq than those in the U.S.

Don't we wish....
Reality, I have no idea what those numbers are. It came from the factory that way.

Well I may sound paranoid but the number on the engine bay cover looks like the way they classified used parts at a junk yard. Since brand new parts always come in a plastic bag with the part number on a sticker. This is not normal for a brand new car...

My 06 pins holding the covers are the ones with a inner pin you have to push down to remove. Theses are definitely new. Probably for the best.

Haha I dont mean any disrespect or negativity, but this kind of reminds me of the "Z Tube" mod V35/G35 owners do with the stock 350Z intake tube. The name is too similar too "JoeZ Tube" haha But hey, if it works though
