fuel additives

In fairness as a courtesy to people at my track a few years ago who know I run very consistent times, I tried a few of them at their expense, to see what if any benefit/detriment is obtained. My conclusion was that what is felt is perhaps just the fact that 1. It is all in people's head or 2. It may have some fuel injector cleaning properties and someone might feel something from that.
Now, a former buddy of mine used to run high octane racing fuel in his RX7 down here, but that he could tune quite easily for that with his Apexi Commander and he had flames spitting out the back with ease.

thanks for the advice,so no additives (even for longer lifetime of the engine?)but maybe just switching from 95 octane to 98 octane. But about feeling any difference, i think nobody can feel the difference of 5 extra hp and so many people buy an exhaust/intake including me .Next step is perhaps the headers but i don't know very much about it

There are certain additives for oil that might be useful, but really only when you get closer to 100K miles or about 160K kilometers and then it depends on what symptoms your vehicle has, but right now for the fuel I don't see anything beyond an occasional fuel injector cleaner at least once a year.

But if you buy TopTier gas in the first place, you don't need to worry. The gas already has enough detergent not to clog the injectors in the first place.
Actually, Shells claims their 91 octane can clean your injectors from deposits in 3 tank full. Since they where the first gas company to get TopTier designation in Canada, I tend to believe it. I'm sure it's not the only one.
If you gas at Chevron, Texaco or anywhere where they already include Techron then why put more?

Agreed. However, this depends on the country. For me, I have to buy Techron bottles at Costco as the nationalized Pemex gasoline is the only gas station we have down here. Chevron is my personal favorite in the United States though, followed by Sunoco for the track. I am not exactly sure about all the varieties of gasoline that are good colleague edualc has in Belgium.

Texaco doesn't have Techron. At least they don't around here, or they don't advertise it.
I agree that good quality gas would reduce the need for any sort of cleaner, but you never really know if you're getting good gas or clogged injectors until you run a coupe bottles through. If you notice an improvement, then you needed it, otherwise, you were fine all along.
