Default Question for Tanabe Exhaust owners

I was wondering, how many of you have noticed the left side sitting a little lower and perhaps sticking out a bit further than the right?

I know at least one other member (Akatsuki) mentioning this, so I was wondering if any others have as well.

I ask this because at first, when I installed my g/f's I didnt see this, but yesterday I look at it again and it sits about 1/4" lower and sticks out like 1/8" or so more. Have others experienced similar with their exhaust or are ours just exceptions? Maybe I am just too observant and picky...?

I added a poll for simplicity since I know not everyone would want to type an answer.

How come we cant edit polls? Can a moderator edit my poll title - should be "hang" not "hanger" thank...

How/where did you put the zip ties?

Interesting though how a few people also have this issue I guess it's just something with the design of the exhaust...

See that thread for pics - my g/f's look similar. Maybe Im making too big of a deal about this. When I noticed it she asked what I was looking at and I said that the left side hangs a little lower than the right and she said "well one of your ***** hangs lower than the other but you dont complain about that..."

i tied it beside the rubber hanger thing...its hard to get the picture on it...its the top of the rubber hanger to the exhaust metal hanger...hard to explain..its pretty easy...just tie it...mine went for 2 finger (from the bumper to the tip) to 1 finger for both right and left..

yup the left is a lil lower.. zip tie to tie it here too!!.. imma get pics for you tomorrow if i can.. however, i think a member on here told me there's a way to fix it.. have someone hold the Y pipe and push it up to the left when you bolt onto the main pipe.. I'll try that out whenever i have time..

I know this might be a long shot, but would you happen to remember the thread that was mentioned in?

Here is a picture I took showing how I used zip tie's to fix the lower hanging left side. Had it tied for over 6 months now and it's fine.

^^^^ Thanks for the pic Cayman. I think I might try to get back under the car again and bolt it on again to see if that helps as someone else mentioned. Then if need be, I'll resort to zip ties.

it's hard for me to do it like caymandive so i did it on the right side of the exhaust.. whatever you do don't use the white zip ties like i have.. i don't know if i got a bad bag or white zip ties just weak and easy to break

Default Tanabe Exhaust

My left exhaust is 1/16" lower than the right (which doesn't bother me at all). The right exhaust sticks out more than the left (which also doesn't bother me).

I noticed that the Tanabe exhaust got a lot louder after it had been installed for a month or so (which I really like). It was too quiet when first installed.
